Expertise & Access
Suzanne has been collecting and advising clients since 1978. She has gained significant experience working through market cycles and managing the entire process of building timeless collections. Her eye for realizing talent is extraordinary. For example, in 1999, Suzanne curated "20 Years 20 Artists" at the Aspen Art Museum. With a discerning eye, she selected a group of artists who would become some of the most recognizable names today: Jean-Michel Basquiat, Cindy Sherman, Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons, Robert Gober, Kara Walker, Charles Ray, Eric Fischl, Julian Schnabel, Mike Kelley, Juan Muñoz, Andreas Gursky, and Rachel Whiteread.
We closely follow all market trends. With over forty years of collective experience and having worked with almost every major gallery, SJF provides unique access. From our beginnings in the 1970s, we have reviewed tens of thousands of works of art. We travel the world looking for the exceptional, whether an artist is established, emerging, or undiscovered. Our goal is to establish a bond of trust with our collectors and ensuring them that their interests are our top priority. The quantity of art in the market is overwhelming. Our mantra is quality, quality, quality. Ever wonder why one photo by Cindy Sherman sells for millions and another photo of the same series sells for much less? It is about knowing the oeuvre of an artist's body of work, coupled with an innate gift to discern and hone in on the masterpieces. This is why experience plays a major role.
